Control
The SINUMERIK 828D is perfect for the finishing of horizontal and vertical turning centers
with a machining channel and up to eight designed CNC measurement circuits. Out of the
rotating spindle, and the geometric axes (X - and Z-axis) other machine units can be operated:
CNC controlled turret - tailstock axis Driven (with travel to fixed stop) - tools and C-axis for
frontal and lateral surface machining - Y axis (orthogonal or oblique) - counter with
synchronous spindle function for the complete machining of workpieces
The SINUMERIK 828D is available a tailored for use in turning and milling CNC control.
CNC, PLC, operator interface and axis control for six CNC measurement circuits are
combined in one compact unit. The controller has extensive CNC functions, such as
support of the counter-spindle machining and a powerful tool management.
Especially for lathes, the SINUMERIK 828D offers extensive turning operations as
well as drilling and milling operations on the forehead and the lateral surface of
workpieces. The performance of the control and the new motion control allow you
to mirror-smooth surfaces with a minimum of processing time. Unnecessary
functionality has been dropped with the SINUMERIK 828D, which manifests itself
among other things in the GUI noticeable. Therefore, it is ideal for use in the workshop.
Also, operation, programming and maintenance are quickly mastered with minimal training.
